A Texas Holdem Poker Table Makes a Game More Real

What can a Texas Holdem Poker Table do for you? If you are currently playing with your buddies on your kitchen or dining room table, it can add quite a bit.

So your poker buddies show up for your regular scheduled game and you break out the cards, beer, some department store poker chips, and sit around your old, hardwood table. You deal the cards being careful not to throw too hard since it will fly off the table and flip up on the floor.

Now you ante up and the nice plastic sound of a cheap, thin poker chip strikes the table and bounces to the floor. One of your friends gets excited at his win and knocks over his beer and soaks and ruins your cardboard playing cards. You wipe them off as best you can and continue the game with the warped cards.

OK, so maybe you decided for a little more authentic play, you throw an old wool army blanket over the table. At least this muffles the poker chips a bit but the blanket bunches up when you try to rake in your winnings and knocks over someone's chip stack.

If this sounds familiar, you are going to be very pleased when you upgrade to a real Texas Holdem Poker Table. Now let's try the same night with your new table and some real clay poker chips. And for an added boost we will even use a deck of Kem or Copag plastic playing cards.

You unfold your poker table and set up chairs around it while you poker friends all comment on the plush padded green felt and how it makes them feel like they are at the casino. They lean their elbows on the comfortable padded vinyl armrest waiting for the deal.

You grab the deck of cards and notice the silky feel and how easily they shuffle. They glide across the table to the other players who deftly try to crimp one in half. But it can't be done. The card just springs back to it's shape. Uncle Joe can spill his beer on these to no avail. They are washable.

Now the players ante up and really feel like they are at the casino. Their chips are at least twice the thickness of those cheap poker chips and have a nice heavy feel in their hands. As the chips strike each other in the pot you notice a nice plink sound instead of the plastic, and a soft thud as they hit the padded felt. The rough texture of the chips makes them stay in place and stack nicely, even as you slide the stacks across the table.

Well, now you are playing poker. This is what a good Texas Holdem Poker Table and other authentic poker supplies will bring to your game. You just can't beat the realistic casino look, sound, and feel you have been missing. So if you have been wondering whether it's worth it, now you know.
