Cake Poker Review
Summary
You don’t use the word delicious to describe most poker sites, but by creating a really nice poker package, Cake Poker wants you to do just that.
Cake Poker sweetens your plate right off the bat with a 100% First Time Deposit Bonus. They also offer you the option to layer your bonus so if there is an additional reload bonus on offer, Cake let’s you couple the first time bonus with the reload bonus.
The Cake poker software competes among the big players and actually exceeds them in many ways. The poker site was created in 2004 after a small group of poker players were dissatisfied with some of the features, or lack thereof, offered by the big players.
Poker games offered include all the popular ones – Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha 8 or Better, Stud and Stud 8 or Better.
Rewards are also sweet thanks to Cake’s Gold Card system.
CakePoker’s journey started in 2004 when a small team of passionate poker players set out on a mission to design a better poker site. Each core team member brought extensive experience to the table from all aspects of the gaming industry, including database management, networking and video game design. In 2006, the ideas and execution of unique promotions and a better gaming experience finally came to fruition. The result, CakePoker, provides players with a better poker experience, making the game not only more enjoyable but more rewarding.
CakePoker has developed its own innovative and industry leading software to provide players with an enhanced and enjoyable poker experience. They have brought players several new features that are unique to the online poker world.
CakePoker will offer reload bonuses periodically through the year to all players. Watch your
email inbox for the Cake Newsletter and Reload Bonus alerts for any Reload Bonus promotion.
You can layer your Cake bonus offers if you are eligible to receive all offers. For example, if you are new to Cake Poker and are eligible to receive our 100% First Time Deposit Bonus and we’re offering a weekend Reload Bonus, you can take advantage of both offers.
Party Poker Review
Summary
When Party Poker pulled out of the US market several years ago, the party was over for American poker players looking for a soft field of players to profit from.
But outside of the US, international poker players still benefit from a great tournament lineup including a $300,000 Guaranteed event every Sunday and the popular PartyPoker Million.
New depositors earn a welcome bonus of 100% that’s worth up to $500. They also earn an automatic seat in a $1,500 New Depositor freeroll to help them build a bigger bankroll for free.
The software is decent, offering decent speed and tolerable graphics. There aren’t too many features that are worth noting, except for its multiple language capabilities in the client. Party poker really is a global community thanks to software that speaks 11 languages including: Czech, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
Poker players with a Microsoft Windows PC can play using the downloadable client. Mac users, or those on Linux, can use the Flash version of the software.
For the serious poker player, Party Poker delivers a solid poker package. Players can run 12 tables simultaneously and not experience any choppiness. That of course may depend on the speed of the network connection and computer being used by the player, but with any modern laptop or desktop, you will surely be impressed.
Poker offerings include Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. Fixed Limit, No Limit and Pot Limit stakes are available and players can pick from heads-up, short-handed, and full tables. The stakes start at Micro-Limits of $0.02/$0.04 in No Limit and Pot Limit, and $0.05/$0.10 in Fixed Limit. Serious players with a gigantic bankroll will love the $250/$500 Fixed Limit games.
PKR review
Summary
You’re either going to love PKR Or you’re going to hate it. There’s no in between with this one thanks to the design of the poker site that’s both real and surreal at the same time.
Throw the traditional 2D online poker table you’re used out the window because PKR has put a whole new spin on online poker.
We’ll be honest. This site isn’t really designed for the hardcore poker player who loves to multi-table for hours on end. It’s designed for the casual poker player who wants to experience poker like never before. Feel free to create your own avatar and built a unique poker personality that’s as real as you. You can even make facial expressions and clap your hands just like you can while seated in a real poker tournament.
If you’re not yet sold on PKR, make a deposit. You have barely anything to lose and up to 50% to gain with a 50% deposit bonus worth up to $250. In order to unlock the bonus, you’ll need to play at PKR. As you earn points, the bonus will be released to you as real money. It takes 125 PKR points to release $1 into your account and while it takes time to earn the bonus, it is possible.
Also, once players earn 3,000 PKR points, you receive a free poker strategy book. This is a creative way that PKR says thank you, and it actually has some worth for the players. Between the cash bonus, the depositors’ free roll, and the free ebook, PKR gives you plenty of monetary reasons to switch to their site.
Serious poker players have dished out criticism to PKR, stating that “I can’t play 15 tables at 200 hands per hour”. Ok, stay at your other sites. PKR is not for hard core poker players, it’s for online players who like to have some fun while playing, instead of just being a blinking light at an oval table. My advice to you is to think about your priorities. If you’re a hard core poker player, and play as many tables as fast as you can, then by all means stay away from PKR. However, if you’re a casual online player and like to enjoy yourself, then PKR is absolutely the best choice for you.
